Roundhayes House Nursing Home on Roundhayes Close, Weymouth has been established for over 17 years and in autumn 2007 was taken over by Jan Wakefield.

For the residents at Roundhayes, it's all about being part of the family. Roundhayes has just 12 beds and is justly proud of the family atmosphere they are able to extend to all their residents.

Manager Irene Smith says: "We are small and homely and always aim for a nice atmosphere, with the personal touch - that is always best achieved in a small, friendly environment."

Roundhayes aims to be more than just a nursing home. Its friendly, qualified staff are dedicated to the philosophy of treating every resident as an individual, and promoting independence.

Roundhayes works hard to make sure their residents consider it home, and every day they are treated to home-cooked meals, from a choice of menus, with only fresh ingredients used. Residents at Roundhayes are encouraged to have visitors, who in turn are invited to stay for meals. It's an open-visiting policy, which means residents are free to receive guests at any time.
